Ablution - act of washing yourself(for religious purposes)

Usage - Ablution is a prerequisite to start any sacred work.

Abnegate - self sacrifice

Usage - Mahatma Gandhi practiced abnegation to set India free from the shackles of British empire.

Link - abnegate: ab+nahi+get; meaning giving up something.

Abominable - hateful, extremely disgusting or unpleasant

Usage - example:- abominable treatment of prisoners.

Abrasive - rude and unkind

Usage - an abrasive character

Abridge - shorten or condense

Usage - The President's speech has to be abridged before it can be published.
